Product Description

With these amazing decal papers, you can customise almost anything using a standard inkjet printer.

Simple to use, just print out your design directly onto a sheet of decal paper, seal with acrylic spray varnish, submerge in water, then slide off the backing paper and apply it to a range of non-porous surfaces.

Inkjet Waterslide Decal Paper can be used on almost any kind of surface, including ceramic, glass, wood, metal, plastic and glass – making it a must-have for crafters looking to achieve a professional-looking finish. What’s more, you don’t have to have any artistic ability to use it – just download existing images and designs from the web.

Decal papers are commonly used in a wide variety of crafts, particularly in model-making and the giftware industry as they allow users to add professional-looking detail to a wide range of objects quickly and simply.

Inkjet waterslide decal paper is available in two varieties, clear and white. This clear waterslide decal paper will show any background through it with a transparent finish, so is best suited for use on light coloured or clear objects. For darker backgrounds you should use white inkjet waterslide decal paper.

Waterslide decals can be varnished after application for extra protection.

We recommend Montana acrylic glaze spray, for a fast, convenient and mess-free way of sealing your decals after printing. We also offer laser decal paper which doesn’t require any varnish.

Waterslide decals are not dishwasher safe but can be wiped with a damp cloth.

How to use waterslide decal paper:

IMPORTANT: Prior to printing, remove each sheet from its storage bag and leave it in a warm, dry room to dry out the paper. If you get bleed or drag from your ink it means that the paper has not been left long enough to dry. This problem can occur during cold, damp months.

Print your image or text onto the paper using your inkjet printer. Once printed, seal the ink with acrylic spray before submerging it in water for one minute.

Dip the decal in water for 10-30 seconds, and wait for the water to activate the adhesive. When the backing paper is ready to slide off your decal is ready to be transferred onto your project. Once you've done this you just need to wait 24 hours for the transfer to sink into the object so that the edges cannot be felt. Perfect!

Remember: If you are using these decals on wax candles please ensure that the candle is wide enough to ensure the flame won't touch the decal.

To ensure best results, once purchased you should store your decal paper carefully (away from moisture) and use it within one year. 170gsm.
