Tempera Tubs

A concentrated water-based paint but supplied as a very heavy paste that will not spill. These tempera paints have been formulated especially for the younger artist but because of their multipurpose uses they shouldn’t preclude the older artist from enjoying them. They can be worked wet by using a dampened brush and directly picking up the paint from the tub. Dilute even further to create wash effects similar to watercolurs. Alternatively experiment with impasto effects by picking up the colour with a palette knife and laying down thicker layers which could also be used to create Sgaffito effects by dragging combs or plastic strips through the surface layers. Similar to the Berol Colour but can be worked in more diverse ways. The assorted set contains: 2 black, 2 white, Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Red, Brilliant Green, Brilliant Yellow, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Purple and Orange. The Black and White set consists of 4 black and 8 white. 70ml tubs.
