Fusible Metal Alloy

A metal that will melt at just 70ºC. Pour boiling water into a jug and dip the end of the metal rod into the water and watch it melt. Great for using with the Casting Kit above without the need for a burner. Pour both the water and liquid metal quickly but carefully into the mould. The metal will sink to the bottom and the water will overflow. Make sure you wear protective gloves for this and when removing the moulded piece after about 3 minutes. This metal alloy also works well in latex moulds supported in sand. (As this product contains cadmium, bismuth and lead, projects must be done with adult supervision in a well ventilated room and stored in a safe place). Its ‘smart’ properties will amaze young and old alike. Once used to make joke teaspoons! Long sticks, approx 250-300gms.
