Easy Etch Starter Kit

A cost effective way of understanding the process of etching without expensive plates. The etching is done on card which is easier to carve and will provide up to 10 monoprints from just one plate. Just cut away shapes or inscribe lines into the card with a blade. Coat finished work with a thin layer of french polish (shellac) and leave to dry. Give a light covering of the etching inks, blend colours if required an dwipe of excess with scrim and print onto damp cartridge paper. Using a press creates better impressions but just using a clean roller on the back of the plate will transfer an image. This pack provides you with 25 pieces of heavy duty card, five assorted etching inks, five inking rollers, two metres of scrim, 32 pieces of designer cartridge, 25 pairs of protective gloves and an information sheet.
