Carrés Crayons Assorted

Carrés have a 6 x 6mm cross section and are slightly softer in texture than pencils. They are excellent for sketching, as well as for monochrome or polychrome drawing. White and Grey Carrés are useful for shading other colours. The range also includes two special colours, Sanguine and Bistre. Conté Carré Crayons may be used in many different ways to create a multitude of effects and textures. For large areas: Use the flat side of the Conté Crayon for background and sky effects, broad strokes with gentle pressure will tint the raised grain of the paper. For detail: Hold the Pastel vertically or at an angle using any one of the corner edges. Heavy pressure will give strong vibrant colour, light pressure should be used for delicate details. Conté Carrés may be used on all types of paper and even on canvas, especially the softer grades. They may also be used in conjunction with other products in the Conté à Paris range. They may be sharpened with a knife, but it is often better to sharpen with sandpaper. Set contains the standard colour assortment - 12 CRAYONS IN THIS SET.
